Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, every other weekend (Days: Saturday-Sunday; Nights: Friday-Saturday), holidays rotate with permanent staff

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $77 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert care to laboring patients from 33 weeks and beyond in a high-volume birthing center
Independently attend deliveries and circulate during C-sections with confidence and skill
Assist with catching babies and transitioning newborns to ensure smooth, safe starts
Titrate Magnesium, Pitocin, and Insulin drips while monitoring maternal-fetal well-being
Support high-risk patients including those with preeclampsia, diabetes, and psychosocial needs
Collaborate with 24/7 OB anesthesia, hospitalists, and neonatology teams for seamless care
Function across Labor & Delivery and Mother-Baby units, transitioning babies and supporting routine postpartum recovery

Qualifications

Active Washington or compact RN license
BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
Intermediate or advanced Fetal Heart Monitoring preferred
Minimum 2 years of LDRP experience; 1 year considered with multiple prior travel assignments
Comfortable attending deliveries independently and circulating C-sections
No first-time travelers

Knowledge & Skills

LDRP nursing with ability to manage both laboring and postpartum patients
Titration of Magnesium, Pitocin, and Insulin drips
Centricity Perinatal EFM system experience
Strong assessment and critical-thinking skills for high-risk OB patients
Ability to adapt to unit workflows and accept constructive feedback
