Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate bedside care to residents in a skilled nursing facility
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Monitor vital signs and report changes in patient condition to the nursing team
- Collaborate with RNs and other healthcare professionals to ensure quality care
- Document patient care accurately and timely in electronic health records
- Assist with daily living activities and support patient dignity and independence
Qualifications
- Active and unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in New Mexico
- Minimum of 1 year of LPN experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing setting
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
- Must be comfortable working night shifts and weekends
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient in medication administration and wound care
- Knowledge of geriatric nursing principles and practices
- Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent interpersonal skills to interact with residents, families, and staff
- Basic computer skills for documentation and communication
