Roles & Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage telemetry patients with attention to detail and clinical judgment
• Deliver safe, compassionate PCU nursing care and respond to changes in patient condition
• Document thoroughly and efficiently in Cerner Patient Observation and electronic charting systems
• Prepare patients for procedures and coordinate care for transfers to Endoscopy, IR and OR
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create and execute patient-centered care plans
• Participate in unit staffing and support teamwork during high-acuity periods

Qualifications

• Active RN license for North Carolina (required)
• Minimum 2+ years of nursing experience (as stated in the posting)
• BLS certification (required)
• Experience in Medical Telemetry / PCU or med-surge telemetry monitoring (required)
• Familiarity with Cerner EMR and remote patient observation systems
• CMSRN encouraged (preferred)
• BSN preferred; leadership or charge nurse experience is a plus

Education

• Active RN license (required)
• BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in telemetry monitoring and interpreting cardiac telemetry trends
• Proficient with Cerner documentation workflows and VC150 patient observation tools
• Strong clinical assessment, prioritization, and critical thinking
• Excellent communication and teamwork in a fast-paced hospital environment
• Ability to float to sister med-surge units and adapt to varying patient populations
