Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide skilled occupational therapy evaluations and create individualized treatment plans
• Deliver evidence-based OT interventions to improve patients' daily living and functional independence
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient-centered care
• Document patient progress thoroughly and adjust plans to meet goals
• Educate patients and families on strategies and adaptive techniques to enhance outcomes
• Participate in discharge planning to ensure smooth transitions and continued care

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as an Occupational Therapist (as indicated in the posting)
• Current or eligible Florida Occupational Therapist license (ability to obtain prior to start is acceptable)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or willingness to obtain
• Strong clinical assessment and treatment planning skills for adult and/or pediatric populations as applicable
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills; patient-focused mindset

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in occupational therapy evaluation and functional treatment planning
• Knowledge of adaptive equipment, splinting, and therapeutic modalities
• Ability to use clinical documentation systems and maintain regulatory compliance
• Strong activity analysis and problem-solving skills to drive functional outcomes
• Comfort working in fast-paced hospital settings and collaborating with clinical teams
