Roles & Responsibilities

• Circulate across all service lines, ensuring smooth flow of surgical procedures and patient safety
• Respond quickly and confidently to incoming Level I and Level II traumas as needed
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently in Epic
• Coordinate with surgeons, anesthesia, surgical techs and OR care techs to optimize case turnover
• Maintain a 1:1 patient ratio when required and advocate for patient-centered care
• Follow unit guidelines, dress code (navy scrubs, home laundered) and hospital-specific policies

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of practice (required)
• Minimum 2 years of OR experience with demonstrated Level II or Level I trauma experience (must have)
• Experience functioning as a circulating nurse across multiple service lines
• Epic documentation experience (preferred)
• CNOR certification preferred

Education

• Registered Nurse (RN) - active state license

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of OR procedures, sterile technique and surgical instrumentation
• Comfort with trauma protocols and high-acuity case management
• Familiarity with a variety of OR equipment and ability to troubleshoot in the moment
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills for fast-paced surgical settings
• Ability to manage case flow, prioritization, and efficient turnover
