Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality critical care to adult ICU patients, maintaining safety and dignity
• Perform and manage critical procedures such as intubation, central line and arterial line care
• Monitor hemodynamics and ventilator settings, responding rapidly to changes in patient status
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists and multidisciplinary team members to deliver coordinated care
• Document patient care accurately in the Meditech EMR to ensure continuity and compliance
• Support and mentor unit staff, contributing to a positive, team-focused culture
• Adhere to unit guidelines and infection control policies while maintaining patient-centered care

Qualifications

• Active RN licensure (required)
• Minimum 1 year of recent ICU/critical care nursing experience
• Current ACLS certification (required)
• Proven experience with intubation and care of patients with central and arterial lines
• Meditech EMR experience preferred
• Oncology or Neuro ICU experience is a plus
• Dependable team player with accountability and strong communication skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Critical care nursing principles and bedside ICU management
• Ventilator management and respiratory support
• Hemodynamic monitoring and titration of vasoactive medications
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR and accurate clinical documentation
• Competence in central line and arterial line maintenance and troubleshooting
• Ability to manage a typical 2:1 patient ratio in a high-acuity setting
• Comfort with standard ICU equipment and emergency response protocols
