Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional critical care for BMT and oncology ICU patients, ensuring safety and dignity
• Manage ventilators and deliver precise ventilator support for complex patients
• Titrate drips and vasoactive medications with vigilance and clinical judgment
• Perform total care: turning, trach care, dressing changes and advanced bedside procedures
• Collaborate closely with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes
• Operate and monitor CRRT, A-lines, BiPAP and other ICU equipment as needed
• Document accurately in Meditech and communicate handoffs clearly during shift changes

Qualifications

• Active RN license valid for practice in Texas (or compact RN license as applicable)
• Minimum 1 year of ICU/critical care experience (strong ICU experience required)
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications (required)
• Comfortable with ventilator management, titrating drips, and caring for BiPAP patients
• Experience with Meditech or similar EMR is a plus
• CRRT and transplant (kidney/pancreas/liver) experience are highly desirable

Knowledge & Skills

• Critical care nursing principles and best practices
• Advanced cardiac life support and basic life support protocols
• Ventilator settings, troubleshooting and respiratory support strategies
• Hemodynamic monitoring including A-lines and vasoactive infusions
• CRRT operation and patient management
• Strong communication, teamwork and rapport-building with physicians and staff
• Ability to prioritize in fast-paced, high-acuity ICU environments
