Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate nursing care to gastroenterology clinic patients within scope of LPN licensure.
Act as the primary liaison between patients, providers, and clinic staff to ensure smooth care coordination.
Take and record vital signs accurately and promptly, monitoring for any concerning trends.
Triage patient calls, assess urgency, and escalate to providers or RN as appropriate.
Process prescription refills and complete necessary prior authorizations efficiently.
Support and direct CNAs and schedulers in daily clinic operations.
Collaborate with providers, coordinators, clinical managers/supervisors and RNs to meet patient needs.
Maintain accurate clinical documentation and follow current standards and policies.

Qualifications

Current State LPN license in Montana (required).
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required).
Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program.
Comfortable performing triage, medication refill workflows, and prior authorizations.
Ability to give direction to CNAs and work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams.
Professional communication skills and patient-centered mindset.

Education

Graduate of a Nursing Program (LPN).

Knowledge & Skills

Clinic nursing practices and workflows specific to outpatient gastroenterology.
Taking and interpreting vital signs and basic patient assessment.
Telephone triage principles and escalation protocols.
Prescription refill processes and prior authorization procedures.
Strong interpersonal skills to serve as a patient liaison and team collaborator.
Familiarity with continuing education and licensure upkeep requirements.
