Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, respectful personal care to patients
• Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and mobility
• Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes to the care team
• Maintain a clean and safe environment, following infection control practices
• Communicate clearly with patients, families, and clinical staff to support coordinated care
• Document care delivered in the appropriate charting system in a timely manner

Qualifications

• Current, active CNA certification (California) — required
• Valid state-required licensure and ability to work per facility policy
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Previous experience as a CNA in long-term care, acute care, or similar setting is a plus
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
• Ability to pass background check and any required health screenings

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of an accredited CNA training program and current certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient hygiene and safe transfer techniques
• Accurate vital signs measurement and observation skills
• Basic understanding of infection control and PPE use
• Comfortable with bedside care and assisting with mobility
• Good documentation habits and attention to detail
• Empathy, patience, and strong interpersonal skills
