Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered direct care as a Certified Nursing Assistant
- Assist patients with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and mobility
- Take and document vital signs accurately and report changes to the care team
- Support infection control and safe patient handling practices
- Maintain clear, timely charting and handoffs to ensure continuity of care
- Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to follow the plan of care
- Engage patients and families with respect and empathy to promote comfort and dignity
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification (required)
- Completion of an accredited CNA program or equivalent training
- Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification preferred
- Comfortable with charting and basic documentation
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team
- Ability to pass background check and meet health/screening requirements
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited CNA training program
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in patient transfer and safe mobility techniques
- Proficient at taking and recording vital signs accurately
- Knowledge of infection prevention and standard precautions
- Patient-focused bedside manner and strong observational skills
- Time management and prioritization in a fast-paced clinical setting
- Familiarity with basic electronic health record documentation
