Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate hands-on personal care and assistance with activities of daily living
- Assist with safe transfers, positioning, and mobility to protect dignity and reduce fall risk
- Monitor and record vital signs, intake/output, and any changes in patient condition
- Document patient care accurately and communicate important updates to the care team
- Support infection control practices and maintain a clean, safe environment
- Collaborate with nurses and allied staff to deliver coordinated, person-centered care
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (California) required
- CPR/BLS certification required or willing to obtain
- Willingness to complete background check, TB screening, and required immunizations
- Comfortable working night shifts and flexible per-diem availability
- Strong interpersonal skills and a caring, patient-first attitude
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent; active CNA certification in California
Knowledge & Skills
- Proven skills in patient hygiene, transfers, and mobility assistance
- Ability to accurately take and record vital signs and basic clinical observations
- Familiarity with infection control and safe patient handling techniques
- Good documentation habits and clear communication with clinical teams
- Time management and the ability to prioritize patient needs on busy shifts
