Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on personal care to patients with dignity and respect
- Monitor and record vital signs, reporting changes promptly to the clinical team
- Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and mobility
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in patient records
- Support safe patient transfers and positioning following facility protocols
- Communicate clearly with patients, families, and multidisciplinary staff to coordinate care
- Follow infection control and safety standards to protect patients and staff
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification (appropriate for practice in California)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification preferred or required by facility
- Ability to pass background check and required health screenings or immunizations
- Comfortable working overnight shifts and flexible per diem availability
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an approved Nursing Assistant program and CNA certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in basic patient care and ADLs
- Proficient with taking and documenting vital signs
- Knowledge of infection control practices and PPE use
- Ability to follow care plans and report changes in patient condition
- Good time management, organization, and patient-focused communication
