Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to students and patients as a Certified Nursing Assistant
• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) including feeding, mobility, and hygiene
• Monitor and record vital signs and report changes to the clinical team promptly
• Document care accurately in patient records and communicate clearly with colleagues and families
• Support a safe, clean environment by following infection control and safety protocols
• Collaborate with nurses, school staff, and families to promote student health and well-being

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (California preferred)
• Active CPR/BLS certification (or willing to obtain)
• Comfortable working with school-aged children and adolescents
• Ability to pass background checks and any required health screenings
• Strong communication skills and a patient-centered approach
• Previous CNA experience in school health, pediatrics, or ambulatory care is a plus

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certificate

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient care techniques and safe transfer/mobility assistance
• Basic clinical assessments (vitals, observation, reporting)
• Infection control practices and PPE use
• Clear verbal and written communication for team handoffs and documentation
• Time management and the ability to prioritize care in a busy environment
• Teamwork and a collaborative mindset
