Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver compassionate care to hemodynamically stable and predictably unstable patients on the medical/surgical unit
Provide physical, emotional, spiritual, and cultural support to diverse patient populations including pediatrics and post-procedure cases
Operate advanced medical equipment for patients with central lines, chest tubes, arterial lines, and ventilation support
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve outstanding patient outcomes
Act as a clinical leader, precepting staff and guiding RNs, LPNs, CNAs, and support teams
Manage patient care from admission to discharge, including expert discharge planning

Qualifications

Current Montana RN Licensure required
BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications required or obtained within 6 months of hire
EPNC, TNCC certifications preferred
Practice experience in advanced Medical/Surgical Unit and recent Critical Care or Progressive Care Nursing

Education

Degree from a Nursing Program

Knowledge & Skills

Advanced medical equipment operation including central lines, chest tubes, nasogastric tubes, arterial lines, multiple IVs, and ventilation support
Cardiac telemetry and EKG interpretation
Basic office equipment and multiple IV pumps
Advanced Nursing Principles and Procedures
Pediatric experience preferred
