Roles & Responsibilities
- Coordinate and deliver compassionate nursing care for patients of all ages
- Supervise team members to ensure top-notch patient safety and care
- Make independent clinical decisions with confidence during your shift
- Respond calmly to emergencies with sound nursing judgment
- Develop care plans and maintain detailed, informative records
- Foster a warm, positive environment for patients and staff alike
- Collaborate with physicians and departments for seamless care delivery
Qualifications
- Current full, unrestricted Registered Nurse license in Alaska or another U.S. state
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (or obtained within 6 months)
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) preferred, required for ED nurses
- Acute care, emergency department, or long-term care experience preferred
Education
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (Bachelor’s, Associate’s, or Diploma)
- High school diploma or equivalent
Knowledge & Skills
- Deep knowledge of nursing and medical practices and procedures
- Skilled in supervising teams and incorporating innovative methods
- Ability to make independent decisions and handle high-stress situations tactfully
