Roles & Responsibilities

Coordinate and deliver compassionate nursing care for patients of all ages
Supervise team members to ensure top-notch patient safety and care
Make independent clinical decisions with confidence during your shift
Respond calmly to emergencies with sound nursing judgment
Develop care plans and maintain detailed, informative records
Foster a warm, positive environment for patients and staff alike
Collaborate with physicians and departments for seamless care delivery

Qualifications

Current full, unrestricted Registered Nurse license in Alaska or another U.S. state
BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (or obtained within 6 months)
Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) preferred, required for ED nurses
Acute care, emergency department, or long-term care experience preferred

Education

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (Bachelor’s, Associate’s, or Diploma)
High school diploma or equivalent

Knowledge & Skills

Deep knowledge of nursing and medical practices and procedures
Skilled in supervising teams and incorporating innovative methods
Ability to make independent decisions and handle high-stress situations tactfully
