Roles & Responsibilities

Perform initial triage and full assessments to prioritize patient needs in a fast-paced urgent care environment
Administer medications, IV therapies, and monitor specialized equipment with precision and care
Coordinate patient referrals and follow-ups, ensuring seamless care across teams
Document all interventions and educate patients for optimal health outcomes
Maintain a safe, clean workspace while collaborating with RNs, LPNs, and providers
Respond to emergencies with calm expertise and participate in team improvement initiatives

Qualifications

Current full, unrestricted Registered Nurse license in Alaska or other U.S. state, with Alaska license required before start for direct hires
2 years of general nursing experience including at least 1 year in ambulatory or urgent care
Graduate of an accredited nursing school qualified for NCLEX
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred
Clinical Competency and High Risk Competency within 3 months of hire

Education

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
High school diploma or equivalent

Knowledge & Skills

Nursing process with strong critical thinking and prioritization
Assessment, data collection, and anticipation of patient needs
Operation of medical equipment and life-saving procedures
Excellent oral and written communication including charting
Multi-tasking, time management, and problem-solving in high-pressure settings
Customer service, safety, and infection control principles
