Roles & Responsibilities

Implement and evaluate a comprehensive risk management program ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations
Lead organization-wide patient safety initiatives to reduce medical errors and adverse outcomes
Conduct Root Cause Analyses (RCA) and Failure Mode Effects Analyses (FMEA) for impactful process improvements
Investigate adverse incidents, facilitate disclosures, and analyze patient grievances with care and precision
Provide essential risk management and patient safety education to staff, management, and physicians
Collaborate with leadership and medical directors on quality of care and peer review issues
Support accreditation efforts through chart audits, clinical reviews, and data analysis
Stay ahead of industry trends and regulatory standards to drive organizational excellence

Qualifications

Current full, unrestricted, active Registered Nursing license in Alaska (must apply before start date for direct hire, active required for agency staff)
Certified CPHRM within two years
Clinical Competency required within 3 months and every 3 years thereafter
3 years experience monitoring risk management, patient safety, quality, and regulatory requirements
Demonstrated leadership in facilitating cross-functional teams and collaborative group work

Education

Registered Nursing license in Alaska

Regulatory standards including DNV, TJC, CMS, CARF
