Roles & Responsibilities

Partner with clinical leaders to establish standardized competencies and support accreditation standards
Develop and implement curriculum for clinical training programs
Collaborate on preceptorships and student clinical experiences
Promote the Seven Standards of Excellence across SEARHC
Lead evidence-based professional development to boost patient outcomes
Evaluate educational activities for safety, effectiveness, and cost-efficiency

Qualifications

BSN from accredited nursing school
Current unrestricted Alaska RN license (or applied for)
BLS certification required
BLS Instructor preferred or within 1 year
Clinical Competency Assessment within 3 months
2 years clinical instructor/educator experience (1 year supervisory ok)
5 years professional nursing including 2 years LTC

Education

Graduate of accredited BSN program

Knowledge & Skills

Professional nursing principles for LTC adult/geriatric care
Curriculum development and adult learner education methods
Evidence-based training modalities like TEAMS, Canva, PowerPoint
High-quality communication and policy compliance
Collaborative leadership and competency evaluation
