Roles & Responsibilities

Perform accurate echocardiogram studies including Transthoracic 2-D, M-Mode, Color-flow Doppler, Transesophageal, Exercise stress and pharmacological echocardiography to deliver vital diagnostic insights
Conduct other cardiac diagnostic studies like EKG, Holter monitoring and Cardiac stress tests with precision
Utilize advanced equipment such as echocardiographs and Holter monitors to provide top-tier information to cardiology physicians
Assess hospital systems for seamless scheduling, processing and charging of studies
Implement strict infection control and aseptic techniques for patient safety
Guide students from local colleges with hands-on preceptorship and clinical expertise
Deliver age-specific care excelling with neonatal and pediatric patients

Qualifications

Registered Cardiac Sonographer certification
Basic Life Support certification
Successful completion of certification program or two years hands-on echocardiography experience required; extensive hospital, pediatric and neonatal experience preferred

Education

High School Diploma or GED required; Certificate Program in Cardiovascular Sonography preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in echocardiography and cardiac diagnostic studies
Proficiency with neonatal and pediatric cardiac testing
Skilled operation of echocardiographs, stress systems, electrocardiographs and Holter monitors
