Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to cardiac and medical-surgical patients on a 49-bed telemetry unit
Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms while documenting findings each shift
Collaborate with charge nurses and house supervisors to ensure seamless patient care
Float to East Campus or PCU when needed, expanding your clinical versatility
Support patients recovering from total joint replacements, CHF, respiratory issues, and post-cath procedures

Qualifications

Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Ability to pass the dysrhythmia exam with 80% or higher within two attempts
Experience reading basic telemetry strips
Preferred experience with CVA, TIA, and total joint replacement patients
Cerner experience strongly recommended due to limited orientation

Knowledge & Skills

Telemetry monitoring and strip interpretation
Care for CHF, COVID, respiratory, GI, diabetic, and post-cath patients
Set-rate drip management including Diltiazem/Cardizem
BiPAP, CPAP, and breathing treatment support
Team collaboration with nurse aides at 1:10-15 ratios
