Bill Rate: $285,000 - $320,000 annually

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive surgical care across inpatient, outpatient, and emergency department settings
Perform essential procedures including hernia repair, cholecystectomy, endoscopy, appendectomy, colorectal surgery, and wound management
Deliver expert evaluation and treatment in the multidisciplinary Wound Clinic
Collaborate closely with anesthesiologists, CRNAs, physician assistants, and perioperative teams
Educate patients and families on surgical procedures, risks, benefits, and post-operative care plans
Offer surgical guidance for palliative care, pain management, and end-of-life decisions
Review diagnostic results and maintain compliance with OSHA bloodborne pathogen standards

Qualifications

Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Surgery
MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
Completed General Surgery residency program
Active Vermont medical license required
DEA certification must be obtained prior to start
Current CPR for Healthcare Providers certification
Clean malpractice history
Proficiency in a wide range of surgical techniques

Education

MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
Completed residency in General Surgery

Knowledge & Skills

Strong operative skills across general surgery procedures
Clinical judgment for acute and chronic surgical conditions
Ability to manage inpatient, outpatient, and emergency cases
Experience with wound care within a multidisciplinary model
Effective collaboration with diverse healthcare teams
Clear communication when educating patients and families

Benefits

Base salary of $285,000 - $320,000 annually
Productivity-based monetary incentives
Permanent placement fee capped at $25,000
