Location: Santa Cruz, California

Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 10-hour shifts, 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM, with call for night shift and weekends

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $46 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Prepare operating rooms and ensure all equipment is ready for procedures
Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and supplies
Maintain sterile field and follow strict infection control protocols
Collaborate with nurses, anesthesiologists, and surgical teams for seamless procedures
Handle surgical specimens and ensure proper documentation
Support pre-op and endo/IR cases alongside general and heart procedures

Qualifications

Active BLS and ACLS certifications required
Prior experience as a Surgical Tech or OR Tech preferred
Strong attention to detail and ability to work in fast-paced environments
Comfortable with rotating weekend and holiday call

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient with Cerner Surginet EMR
Familiar with Phillips telemetry and Draeger vents
Knowledge of general, heart, endo, and IR procedures
Ability to maintain 1:1 patient ratios in the OR
