Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate cardiac telemetry care to patients recovering from MI, CP, and lung transplant procedures
Monitor cardiac rhythms and interpret EKGs using Philips monitors to ensure patient safety
Administer non-titrating drips and manage CPAP and high-flow oxygen therapies
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team including charge nurses, PCTs, RT, and pharmacy
Float to other telemetry units such as T5, T6, and Neuro Tele as needed to support hospital-wide care
Maintain sterile technique during Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes

Qualifications

Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Minimum one year of Level 1 trauma experience preferred
Strong EKG interpretation skills
Cerner EMR experience a plus

Knowledge & Skills

Cardiac telemetry monitoring and rhythm interpretation
Non-titrating medication drips and oxygen therapies
Sterile field maintenance for catheter and line procedures
Cerner electronic medical records documentation
Patient education and family communication
