Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM and 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide intermediate-level care to cardiac and vascular patients including post-surgical and downgraded CVICU cases
Titrate cardiac medications such as Amiodarone, Nitroglycerin, Nicardipine, Epinephrine, and Cardizem to maintain patient stability
Interpret telemetry strips and respond promptly to rhythm changes
Collaborate with cardiologists, hospitalists, and intensivists to deliver exceptional patient outcomes
Float to same or lower acuity units as needed while maintaining high standards of care
Educate patients and families about cardiac conditions, procedures, and recovery plans

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Minimum 1 year of experience with cardiac or vascular patient populations
Strong telemetry interpretation and drip titration skills
Valid driver's license for radius verification at submission

Knowledge & Skills

Telemetry interpretation and strip reading
Cardiac drip titration and blood pressure management
Post-thoracic surgery and structural heart patient care
BiPAP, CPAP, and oxygen delivery systems
Effective communication with multidisciplinary teams
