Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, schedules released 4-6 weeks in advance

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver compassionate, high-quality care across multiple MS-Tele units including Cardiac, Neuro, Oncology, Rehab, Renal, Bariatrics, Ortho, Trauma, and ED Observation
Float within a 60-mile zone to support facilities like Bob Wilson Memorial Hospital, St. Catherine Dodge City, and St. Catherine Garden City
Monitor and titrate Heparin drips while caring for adult and geriatric patients with diverse diagnoses
Collaborate with designated charge nurses and nursing assistants to maintain safe nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:5-6
Respond to low-census call needs and adapt quickly to changing patient assignments across ICU holds, PCU/Stepdown, and MS-Tele units

Qualifications

Active RN license and 2 years of recent MS-Tele experience within the last 3 years
Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Preferred experience with neuro patients, Alaris pumps, and EPIC documentation
Willingness to float throughout the 60-mile zone and maintain flexibility with scheduling

Knowledge & Skills

Strong assessment and critical-thinking skills for cardiac, neuro, and post-surgical patients
Comfort with tele monitoring, vents, CPAP, BiPAP, and various titratable drips
Ability to read cardiac strips and adapt to different unit workflows
Excellent communication and teamwork across multiple facilities
