Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate cardiac telemetry care to step-down patients including lung transplant candidates, MI, and CP cases
Monitor Philips telemetry and interpret EKGs to catch changes early and keep patients safe
Administer non-titrating drips and manage vents such as CPAP and high-flow oxygen
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team on a 24-bed unit with supportive PCTs and 24/7 pharmacy and RT
Float to sister telemetry units when needed and maintain excellent sterile technique during skills validations

Qualifications

Current RN license in Arizona or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Minimum one year of Level 1 trauma cardiac telemetry experience
Cerner EMR experience preferred
Ability to pass a dysrhythmia exam with two attempts allowed
Must have reliable transportation for travel team assignments

Knowledge & Skills

Strong EKG interpretation and cardiac rhythm recognition
Competent with sterile technique for Foley insertion and central line dressing changes
Comfortable floating between telemetry units and managing varied patient acuity
Professional appearance standards including natural hair color and clean-shaven for fit testing
