Location: Lakewood, Colorado

Start Date: 06-22-2026

End Date: 09-21-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Variable start times between 7:30 AM - 11:00 AM, primarily covering 11:00 AM - 11:00 PM, with on-call requirements 1 night every 6 weeks including weekends and holidays

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $57 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide exceptional post-anesthesia care to patients recovering from ortho, trauma, cardiac, urology, pulmonary, and GI procedures
Monitor patients through both Phase 1 and Phase 2 recovery with a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio
Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure seamless transitions from the operating room
Respond to on-call needs with a 1-hour response time to support your unit when needed
Float to support other areas as needed while maintaining high standards of care
Utilize Epic EMR to document care accurately and efficiently

Qualifications

Active RN license in Colorado or compact license
ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required
ED or ICU experience strongly preferred
Epic EMR experience a plus

Knowledge & Skills

Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
Ability to read cardiac strips
Comfortable recovering ICU patients in the PACU setting
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Adaptable to variable start times and on-call rotations
