Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $73 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, expert care across Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Nursery units
Independently manage patient care from admission through discharge in all OB areas
Titrate critical drips including Pitocin, insulin, and magnesium sulfate
Collaborate with a close-knit team where every nurse serves as backup for the others
Float as a helping hand to support other units when needed
Monitor fetal strips and maternal cardiac telemetry with precision and confidence

Qualifications

Active Oregon nursing license or ability to obtain the 90-day emergency license
BLS and NRP certifications required
Strong experience in L&D, Postpartum, Routine Nursery, and Intermediate Nursery
Ability to work independently across all areas with minimal supervision
Comfortable floating and adapting to changing unit needs

Knowledge & Skills

Confident with AWHONN staffing guidelines and safe patient ratios
Skilled in fetal monitoring and central strip reading
Proficient with Bubble CPAP and basic vent stabilization
Strong assessment and critical-thinking abilities in low- to moderate-risk OB patients
Flexible and ready to pivot between busy and quiet moments
