Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, holistic care to oncology and trauma PCU patients across their entire journey
• Monitor and titrate drips including insulin and cardizem while ensuring patient safety
• Collaborate with PT/OT, case managers, social workers, and dietitians to deliver comprehensive care
• Float to same-level PCU and MedSurg units while maintaining excellent patient outcomes
• Perform hourly rounding and focus on exceptional patient experience
• Support patients and families through culturally diverse backgrounds with respect and dignity

Qualifications

• Active RN license with at least 1 year of PCU or oncology experience
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
• ONS/ONCC certification preferred
• Open to first-time travelers who are ready to learn and grow
• Valid driver's license required at time of submission
• Must live outside the 50-mile radius of Omaha and have no prior employment with CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facilities

Knowledge & Skills

• Experience with EPIC electronic medical records within the last 6 months preferred
• Comfort with ventilators and hemodynamic monitoring equipment including CVP, A-line, Swan-Ganz, EV-1000, and ICP
• Familiarity with Alaris IV pumps and specialty lift equipment
• Ability to care for mixed PCU and MedSurg patient ratios of 1:4 to 1:6
• Strong teamwork mindset and genuine passion for patient-centered care
