Roles & Responsibilities

Make meaningful home visits to deliver personalized occupational therapy that helps patients regain independence
Evaluate each patient's unique needs and craft tailored treatment plans that truly make a difference
Develop creative therapy procedures and functional activities aligned with physician guidance
Design and implement environmental modifications that transform daily living for patients
Guide patients and families through the use of therapeutic modalities and adaptive equipment

Qualifications

Graduate of an ACOTE-accredited Occupational Therapy program
Eligible for or hold current NBCOT certification
Active Iowa Occupational Therapist license or eligible for licensure
Valid driver's license with automobile insurance meeting state requirements
Current BLS Healthcare Provider certification
At least one year of experience caring for similar patient populations
Mandatory Reporter certification for Child & Dependent Adult Abuse

Education

Graduate of an occupational therapy education program accredited by ACOTE of AOTA

Knowledge & Skills

Occupational Therapy evaluation and treatment planning
Home health care delivery and patient education
Interdisciplinary care coordination
Environmental modification expertise
Therapeutic modalities and adaptive equipment
