Roles & Responsibilities

Perform accurate CT and radiologic procedures while strictly following safety protocols
Administer contrast agents safely using power injectors and document all technical details
Support the Imaging Gently Campaign to ensure patient safety during every exam
Use AIDET communication with every patient to create exceptional care experiences
Maintain compliance with IDPH, ACR, and TJC standards while keeping radiation exposure minimal
Assist with student instruction and support the School of Radiology educational mission

Qualifications

Current Iowa Department of Public Health permit required
ARRT certification as a Radiographer required
Clinical experience as a Radiologic Technologist preferred
Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with patients and coworkers
Computer systems experience and attention to detail highly valued

Knowledge & Skills

CT Imaging and Fluoroscopic Safety protocols
Patient identification and history documentation
ALARA radiation safety practices
AIDET patient communication approach
Equipment maintenance and quality control
