Roles & Responsibilities

Plan and provide nutritional care as a valued member of the Interdisciplinary Team
Assess nutritional needs and develop personalized care plans that truly make a difference
Evaluate and report results to help participants achieve better health outcomes
Instruct participants, families, and staff on diet, food safety, and sanitation practices
Document participant information accurately in the EMR and plan of care
Attend daily Interdisciplinary Team meetings and contribute to collaborative care decisions

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science degree in Dietetics or food and nutrition meeting American Dietetic Association requirements
Successful completion of internship or coordinated undergraduate program meeting ADA guidelines
Registration or registration eligible with the Commission on Dietetic Registration
Licensed or licensed eligible with the State of Iowa
Current CPR/BCLS certification
Valid driver's license and auto insurance

Education

Bachelor of Science degree in Dietetics and/or food and nutrition

Knowledge & Skills

Strong nutritional assessment and care planning abilities
Effective communication skills for interacting with participants and healthcare professionals
Ability to work collaboratively within an Interdisciplinary Team setting
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and EMR documentation
Strong organizational skills with flexibility to manage changing priorities
