Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $66 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality care to oncology and trauma patients on a 28-bed PCU/Med-Surg unit
Administer chemotherapy and manage titratable drips such as insulin and Cardizem
Monitor ventilators and perform hemodynamic monitoring including CVP, A-line, and Swan-Ganz
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of PT/OT, case managers, social workers, and dietitians
Float to same-level-of-care units while maintaining excellent patient outcomes
Champion hourly rounding and patient experience initiatives
Support patients and families through every stage of the oncology journey with empathy and respect

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy certification required
Minimum 1 year of PCU or oncology nursing experience
EPIC charting experience within the last 6 months preferred
Valid driver's license required at time of submission
First-time travelers welcome

Knowledge & Skills

Chemotherapy administration and oncology nursing
Hemodynamic monitoring and ventilator management
Titration of drips including insulin and Cardizem
EPIC electronic medical record system
Alaris IV pumps and specialty lift equipment
Strong teamwork, cultural sensitivity, and patient advocacy
