Location: Bakersfield, California

Start Date: 05-28-2026

End Date: 08-27-2026

Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM with occasional 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM shifts, one weekend every third weekend with Monday and Friday off

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $59 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide exceptional physical therapy care to 12+ patients daily across medical-surgical, ICU, and ER units
Develop personalized treatment plans for patients recovering from TKA, THA, spinal surgery, CVA, and general medical conditions
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes and recovery timelines
Document patient progress and adjust interventions to maximize functional independence
Support patients through their most vulnerable moments with compassionate, evidence-based care

Qualifications

Current California PT license required
BLS certification required
Acute Inpatient PT experience strongly preferred
Comfortable working across medical-surgical, ICU, and ER settings
Strong clinical assessment and treatment planning skills

Knowledge & Skills

Acute inpatient physical therapy expertise
Experience with orthopedic and neurological patient populations
Strong clinical documentation abilities
Collaborative approach to interdisciplinary care
Adaptability across multiple hospital units
