Roles & Responsibilities

• Independently perform medical acts in accordance with APRN licensure standards in an outpatient primary care setting
• Provide comprehensive nursing and medical care to individuals, families, and groups
• Focus on health promotion, disease prevention, and overall wellness for your patient panel
• Deliver leadership and consultation within the care team
• Collaborate with patients, families, nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes
• Identify and address specialized teaching and learning needs of patients and families
• Provide education to support informed healthcare decision-making
• Maintain a safe and efficient clinical environment for patients and staff
• Support daily practice operations in a cost-effective manner
• Participate in ongoing professional development and continuing education

Qualifications

• Current Vermont APRN License (or ability to obtain)
• Master's Degree from an accredited Adult Nurse Practitioner program
• Certification as Adult, Family, or Pediatric NP from a national organization recognized by VT Board of Nursing
• Healthcare Provider CPR Certification
• DEA License
• Qualified for credentialing by BMH Medical Staff
• Clean Malpractice History
• At least 1 year of experience as a Nurse Practitioner
• Two years of nursing experience prior to advanced degree (highly preferred)

Education

• Master's Degree from an accredited Adult Nurse Practitioner program
