Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, days and nights available

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to mothers and newborns during labor, delivery, and recovery
Monitor fetal heart rates and maternal vital signs, intervening as needed
Assist with epidurals, inductions, and emergency cesarean sections
Educate new parents on breastfeeding, newborn care, and postpartum recovery
Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and the healthcare team to ensure safe deliveries

Qualifications

Active RN license in Iowa (or compact state)
Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications
AWHONN Fetal Heart Monitoring certification required
Minimum 1 year of recent labor and delivery experience
Willing to float to other units if needed

Knowledge & Skills

Strong skills in fetal monitoring and interpreting strip patterns
Ability to remain calm and focused in high-stress situations
Excellent communication and patient education skills
Team player with a positive attitude and flexibility
