Location: Santa Clara, CA

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Sunday-Saturday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, 30-minute meal break, 36 hours per week guaranteed

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $47 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Implement occupational therapy treatment plans under the supervision of an OTR to help patients regain independence
Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) and therapeutic exercises to improve motor skills and coordination
Document patient progress and communicate effectively with the care team
Adapt treatment activities to meet individual patient needs and goals
Provide education to patients and families on home exercise programs and safety

Qualifications

Current California Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) license required
Minimum 1 year of experience as a COTA in a skilled nursing or acute care setting preferred
BLS certification from the American Heart Association
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

Knowledge & Skills

Strong knowledge of occupational therapy principles and techniques
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proficient in documentation and electronic medical records
Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care
