Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, including weekends and holidays

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to mothers and newborns during labor, delivery, and postpartum
Monitor fetal heart rates and maternal vital signs, interpreting data to ensure patient safety
Assist with deliveries, including cesarean sections, and provide immediate newborn care
Educate patients and families on birthing plans, breastfeeding, and newborn care
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal outcomes for every patient

Qualifications

Current RN license in Iowa or compact state (NLC)
Minimum 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery experience preferred
BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN/Fetal Heart Monitoring certifications required
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle emergencies with confidence

Knowledge & Skills

Proficiency in fetal monitoring interpretation
Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
Excellent communication and patient education abilities
Team-oriented with a focus on patient-centered care
