Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM and 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate intermediate care to cardiac and vascular patients
Titrate critical drips including Amiodarone, Nitro, and Nicardipine to support patient stability
Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms while collaborating with remote tele techs
Support post-surgical CVICU patients during their first 24 hours of recovery
Float to same or lower acuity units as needed to support the broader care team
Partner with hospitalists, intensivists, and cardiologists to deliver exceptional outcomes

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Minimum 1 year of experience with cardiac and vascular patient populations
Valid driver's license to confirm 50-mile radius compliance
Ability to pass an open-book skills exam with a 90% score during orientation

Knowledge & Skills

Strong cardiac rhythm interpretation and telemetry monitoring
Experience managing titratable drips for blood pressure control
Comfort with BiPAP, CPAP, and basic respiratory equipment troubleshooting
Excellent communication and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
Flexibility to float across units and adapt to varying patient needs
