Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $66 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver compassionate, high-quality care to oncology and trauma patients on a 28-bed PCU/Med-Surg unit
Administer chemotherapy and manage complex medication drips including heparin, cardizem, and protonix
Monitor and titrate drips such as insulin and cardizem while providing vigilant patient assessment
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of PT/OT, case managers, social workers, and dietitians to optimize patient outcomes
Float within the same level of care to support unit needs and build versatile clinical skills
Champion hourly rounding and patient experience initiatives to ensure every patient feels valued and supported

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and ONS/ONCC certifications required
Minimum 1 year of PCU or oncology nursing experience
Chemotherapy certification strongly preferred
EPIC experience within the last 6 months is helpful but not required
Must live outside a 50-mile radius of Omaha and have no current employment with CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facilities

Knowledge & Skills

Chemotherapy administration and oncology nursing best practices
Ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring including CVP, A-line, Swan-Ganz, and EV-1000
ICP monitoring and real-time clinical training opportunities
Strong assessment, critical thinking, and drip titration skills
Team collaboration and genuine patient advocacy mindset
