Shift Type: Night shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $46 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, expert care to pediatric patients in the ICU
Monitor vents, drips, and critical equipment to keep kids stable and comfortable
Collaborate with a tight-knit team of nurses, physicians, and respiratory therapists
Respond quickly and confidently during emergencies and high-acuity situations
Support families with clear communication and genuine empathy during stressful times

Qualifications

Active RN license in Texas or compact license
PALS and BLS certifications required
Previous PICU experience with vents and drips
1 year of nursing experience minimum
Team-player attitude and openness to feedback

Knowledge & Skills

Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
Comfort managing high-flow nasal cannula and seizure monitoring
Familiarity with Alaris IV pumps and ventilators
Meditech EMR experience a plus
Ability to adapt to a 6-bed unit with 2:1 or 1:3 ratios
