Respiratory Therapist
Location: Omaha, Nebraska
Start Date: 06-01-2026
End Date: 08-31-2026
Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, team scheduling with weekend requirements every third weekend for days and every other weekend for nights
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $56 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide expert respiratory care to patients from neonates to geriatrics across all inpatient floors
- Perform EKGs, bedside bronchoscopies, and bedside spirometry with precision and care
- Collaborate closely with providers, nurses, and fellow therapists to deliver seamless patient care
- Manage ventilators, BiPAPs, and high-flow oxygen systems to support optimal breathing outcomes
- Float throughout the hospital in an RT capacity, adapting quickly to new units and patient needs
Qualifications
- Current RRT or CRT credential required
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- NRP and PALS preferred
- Recent Level 1 or Level 2 trauma experience strongly preferred
- Valid driver's license required at time of submittal
- Must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility and not be currently employed by CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong time management and adaptability in fast-paced settings
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Willingness to learn new equipment and protocols
- Comfort working with ventilators including Drager, Servo I, and Carefusion models
- Experience with Vision, V60, V30 BiPAPs and Airvo2 high-flow systems
