Location: Bakersfield, California

Start Date: 05-27-2026

End Date: 08-26-2026

Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM with occasional 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM shifts, one weekend every third weekend with Monday and Friday off

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $59 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver hands-on physical therapy to 12+ patients daily across medical-surgical, ICU, and ER units
Help patients recover from joint replacements, spinal surgeries, strokes, and general medical conditions
Collaborate with rehab aides and the care team to create personalized treatment plans
Guide patients through acute inpatient, rehab, and skilled care pathways
Document progress and adjust therapy approaches to maximize recovery outcomes

Qualifications

Active California PT license required
BLS certification needed
Acute inpatient physical therapy experience preferred
Comfortable treating a wide range of diagnoses including ortho, neuro, and deconditioned patients

Knowledge & Skills

Strong assessment and treatment planning skills for acute care settings
Ability to manage a fast-paced caseload across multiple hospital departments
Excellent communication and teamwork with nursing and medical staff
Flexibility to cover occasional evening and weekend shifts
