Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate nursing care that promotes comfort and enhances residents' quality of life
- Lead and mentor Resident Assistants with coaching, training, and education on proper nursing techniques
- Deliver safe, professional care following facility policies, state regulations, and professional standards
- Coordinate individualized plans of care to support each resident's unique needs and goals
- Maintain strong assessment skills and ensure accurate, timely medication administration
- Uphold safety standards using universal precautions and proactive risk management
- Champion the Choices Philosophy of Care by treating every resident with dignity and respect
Qualifications
- Active Alaska LPN licensure required
- Current American Heart Association BLSP (CPR) certification required
- 1 year of Long Term Care nursing experience preferred
- New graduates welcome with an 8-12 month preceptorship opportunity
- Associate's degree in nursing or equivalent
Education
- Associate's degree in nursing or equivalent required
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong clinical assessment and care coordination abilities
- Leadership skills to guide and support nursing assistants
- Commitment to safety, infection control, and professional standards
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow individualized plans of care with attention to detail
