Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert cardiac drip titration and continuous patient monitoring across telemetry and med-surg units
• Interpret EKGs and respond swiftly to cardiac rhythm changes to keep patients safe
• Float between Chandler and Mercy Gilbert campuses, adapting quickly to different patient populations and acuity levels
• Collaborate with charge nurses, clinical supervisors, and interdisciplinary teams to deliver seamless care
• Educate and support patients recovering from cath lab procedures, CABG, neuro surgeries, and orthopedic interventions
• Maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively during mid-shift unit changes

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIHSS certification preferred for neuro assignments
• Proven ability to titrate cardiac drips including Amiodarone, Cardene, Nitro, and Dobutamine
• Minimum one year of recent telemetry or med-surg experience
• Must pass dysrhythmia exam within 48 hours of offer and complete Sim Lab on day one of orientation

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong cardiac rhythm interpretation and EKG analysis
• IV management and safe medication administration
• Patient assessment across telemetry, neuro, and surgical populations
• Flexibility to float between ICU step-down, telemetry, med-surg, and observation areas
• Effective communication during rapid campus and unit transitions
