Location: Bakersfield, California

Start Date: 05-27-2026

End Date: 08-26-2026

Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM with occasional 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM shifts, one weekend every third weekend with Monday and Friday off

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $59 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide exceptional physical therapy care to 12+ patients daily across acute inpatient units
Treat diverse patient populations including post-surgical, orthopedic, stroke, and general medical cases
Deliver hands-on therapy in Medical/Surgical, ICU, and ER settings
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient recovery and mobility
Document patient progress and adjust treatment plans to achieve meaningful outcomes
Support patients through their rehabilitation journey from admission to discharge

Qualifications

Active California PT license required
BLS certification required
Acute Inpatient PT experience strongly preferred
Comfortable working independently with support from one rehab aide

Knowledge & Skills

Strong clinical skills in acute care physical therapy
Ability to manage varied diagnoses including TKA, THA, spinal surgery, CVA, and general ortho
Excellent communication and documentation abilities
Flexibility to cover multiple hospital departments
Patient-centered approach with a passion for rehabilitation
