Location: Grand Island, Nebraska

End Date: 09-07-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM with 1 night per week on call, every 5th or 6th weekend on call, and rotating holiday call

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $71 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert perioperative nursing care across multiple surgical specialties
Collaborate with surgeons and the OR team to ensure safe, efficient procedures
Prepare patients for surgery and support smooth transitions through pre- and post-op phases
Respond to trauma cases in the ER when called upon
Share knowledge and mentor colleagues to strengthen team performance
Adapt quickly to a varied daily surgical schedule while maintaining the highest safety standards

Qualifications

Active RN license and current BLS and ACLS certifications
Strong experience in Neurosurgery, ENT, Orthopedic, GYN, General Surgery, and DaVinci Robotics
Comfort working across all service lines without specialized teams
Ability to pass an open-book skills exam with a 90 percent score
Valid driver's license to confirm you live outside the 50-mile radius
No current employment with CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facilities

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient with EPIC electronic medical records
Skilled in both scrub and circulating roles across adult, geriatric, pediatric, and obstetric cases
Flexible and team-oriented approach to daily OR demands
Strong communication and willingness to educate others
Attention to safety protocols and sterile technique
