Location: Dickinson, North Dakota

End Date: 09-07-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, block scheduling, every third weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $81 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate one-on-one care to laboring mothers and their newborns
Monitor fetal heart rates and respond quickly to any changes during labor
Administer and titrate medications such as Magnesium and Oxytocin safely
Support mothers through postpartum recovery and newborn bonding
Collaborate with the surgical team during C-sections while caring for baby
Float to medical-surgical or emergency departments when extra hands are needed
Educate families on newborn care and postpartum recovery with warmth and clarity

Qualifications

Active RN license in North Dakota or compact license
BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience
Comfortable working independently in a rural hospital setting
Strong communication and teamwork skills

Knowledge & Skills

Labor and Delivery expertise
Postpartum couplet care
Neonatal resuscitation and fetal monitoring
Titration of Magnesium, Oxytocin, and other common drips
Neonatal CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow equipment troubleshooting
OB Trace Vue electronic fetal monitoring system
