Shift Type: Wednesday-Sunday, 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM NOC

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $56 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to oncology and women's surgical patients
Administer medications and treatments while monitoring patient responses
Collaborate with physicians and the care team to develop individualized treatment plans
Educate patients and families about procedures, medications, and recovery expectations
Perform occasional pelvic exams, assist with echo and thoracentesis procedures
Document care accurately using Cerner EMR and maintain clear communication across shifts

Qualifications

Active RN license in North Carolina or compact license
BLS certification required
Chemo certification preferred
Minimum 2 years of recent oncology or med-surg nursing experience
Team player with a willingness to learn and adapt

Knowledge & Skills

Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
Comfortable with standard unit equipment and Cerner EMR
Excellent communication and patient education abilities
Ability to manage 1:4 or 1:5 patient ratios confidently
Flexible with floating to other med-surg units when needed
