Location: Dickinson, North Dakota

End Date: 09-21-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, block scheduling, every third weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $81 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate one-on-one care to laboring mothers and their newborns
Monitor and titrate critical medications like magnesium and oxytocin to support safe deliveries
Support postpartum recovery by caring for mom-baby couplets with personalized attention
Collaborate with the surgical team during C-sections while focusing on newborn circulation
Float to medical-surgical or emergency departments to lend a helping hand when needed
Troubleshoot neonatal respiratory equipment including CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow systems

Qualifications

Active RN license in North Dakota or compact license
BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
Minimum 2 years of labor and delivery experience
Ability to pass N95 fit testing (no facial hair that prevents proper seal)
Strong teamwork, independence, and communication skills

Labor and delivery expertise
Postpartum and couplet care
Neonatal resuscitation and monitoring
Fetal monitoring with OB Trace Vue
Titration of antepartum and postpartum medications
Rural healthcare adaptability
